While studying Law at the University of the Free State (UFS), I surprisingly grew a high curiosity for ‘The Insurance Industry’ as I referred to the Financial Services Profession then. With a desire to explore and better understand more, I took up insurance law as an elective and successfully completed a BComm/LLB in 2008. I completed a Postgrad Diploma in Financial Planning Law (UFS 2017) and in 2018 decided to further explore the Financial Planning Profession in the specialised field of Estate Planning and Personal Financial Risk Management.

With almost 9 years working in Financial Services first in banking client services, I went on to be a financial advisor for 4 years and have had the opportunity to explore in the operations, marketing as well as business development spaces (through the Old Mutual Associate RGM Development Program). I currently serve in a role at Old Mutual SA, as one of the first 9 Business Transformation Coaches in Africa, after being honoured with an International Certification on Total Client Engagement to further coach and drive sales enablement of sales leaders within the business.

I strongly believe when people are continuously given the knowledge they need to make better financial decisions, have better control of their finances and start to build and preserve wealth, financial wellbeing and independence becomes a great result of that and this journey is one best travelled with a financial advisor who gives guidance at every step of the way.

As long as you’ve got passion, faith, and are willing to work hard, you can do anything and have anything you want in this world.”

My professional background is made up of more than 5 years in the Financial Services Industries, both in Administration as well as in Financial Advisory roles. I hold a Bachelor of Commerce degree (UCT). I somehow have always had an interest in working with people and helping them build and preserve wealth through possible investment opportunities, I them decided after my degree to pursue a Bachelor of Commerce Honours degree in Financial Planning (University of Johannesburg).

Over time, I have also managed to achieve my Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation and hold an Advanced Post Graduate Diploma in the specialised field of Estate Planning and Personal Financial Risk Management. Throughout my professional career, I have gained a wealth of insight into individual holistic financial planning where the focus has mostly been on client engagement, client relationship management and client retention. I have worked and continue to work in investment planning, wealth preservation and financial literacy. I am very passionate about people and I believe that we all have the will to be anything possible, we just need a bit of direction and we as Professionals in Financial advisory can be that direction.
